We chose the name Greycork because it was our blank canvas. It’s a name without predefined meaning. You could say it’s a verbal representation of pursuing our passions to create something we’re proud of. Yes, we might be able to influence the meaning of Greycork through our products, service, and culture, but ultimately, the meaning is up to the people.

With sleepless nights, a backyard prototype, borrowed money and missed opportunities, we decided to take what we knew to create something we’d love: a furniture brand that might be able to help create meaningful moments at home, and inspire one another to keep working with our hands.
